Gastroscopy per gastrostomy

Thursday 26 March 2009, Branislav Kunčak, M. D.

Gastroscopy per gastrostomy in a patient with esophageal carcinoma who underwent a Witzel gastrostomy. The indication for endoscopy was abdominal pain. Gastroscopy was possible only per gastrostomy because of resistant radiation stenosis of the esophagus.
