Lesion with non-lifting sign

Wednesday 21 April 2010, Branislav Kunčak, M. D.

Non-lifting sign:

  • the failure of the lesion to elevate after saline injection into the submucosal space below the lesion
  • non-lifting sign may be an indication of submucosal infiltration of the tumor
  • it should not be interpreted in isolation (visual appearance of the lesion is critical in the decision to perform endocopic resection)
