Gastric neurofibroma

Gastric neurofibroma:

  • rare neurogenic tumor of the stomach
  • gastrointestinal involvement in one-fourth of patients with von Recklinghausen disease
  • malignant degeneration is possible (13%)
  • symptoms: anemia, GI bleeding, dyspepsia, pain
  • treatment: surgical resection
