Snare polypectomy of pedunculated polyp.

The snare is opened and the loop is placed over the polyp onto the pedicle. When the snare is tightened, cautery is applied to transect the pedicle.

Snare polypectomy of the adenoma of the sigmoid colon.

If the polyp is in a poor position for removal, the instrument should be torgued to rotate the tip of the scope to get the polyp in better position (the optimal one is "six o´clock position").

Polypectomy of large semipedunculated polyp of the sigmoid colon.

When head of the polyp is too large and snare doesn´t open completely it is helpful to to impact the tip of the snare on the opposite wall to facilitate separation of the wires and ensnaring.
