Endoscopic therapy of a postpolypectomy bleeding.

Video 1

Early postpolypectomy bleeding after polypectomy of the pedunculated adenoma in the sigmoid colon.

After identification of the bleeding site with ongoing oozing bleeding and clots, diluted epinephrine solution was injected to the site. The injection improved the visibility and allowed to apply three hemoclip onto the base of the stalk.

Video 2

Delayed postpolypectomy bleeding after polypectomy of broad stalk adenoma.

Coagulum was found at the residual stalk. After injection of epinephrine Endoloop was placed onto the stalk and marker clip was placed next to the stalk.

Regrasping of the stalk with a snare did not result in hemostasis and so retransection of the stalk base was performed.
