Sunday 13 December 2009, Branislav Kunčak, M. D.

Endoscopic mucosal resection:

  • Is endoscopic technique for resection of nonpolypoid neoplastic lesions of GI tract.
  • Injection of saline into the submucosa elevates the lesions. It allows safe resection of the lesion. A submucosal fluid cushion protects the muscularis propria against cautery-induced damage.
  • It is effective and safe method.
