Cause of bleeding

Friday 26 December 2008, Branislav Kunčak, M. D.

Ileal lymphoid nodular hyperplasia (LNH) as a cause of GI bleeding.

LNH in a patient with recurrent melena. EGD, colonoscopy and capsule endoscopy did not find any other source of bleeding. The only finding was ileal LNH causing intermittent prolaps of ileal mucosa to the caecum.
